I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
