In a surprising partnership that defies usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
